Aloha to rest, recovery and bonding galore...

James & I have been long time fans of vacationing and relaxing on the beautiful, peaceful, tropical Hawaiian islands. My Mom and Dad introduced us to Hawaii about 15 years ago and we've been hooked ever since. It's been almost 2 and a half years since we've ventured off for one of these wonderful life experiences as we were settling into our new home in Arizona and enjoying the busyness of life as expectant, and ultimately new, parents. A couple of weeks ago we took off with a baby girl on our laps and headed toward our pacific paradise. We delved into island life enjoying sun, surf, pool and nap time on both the islands of Maui and Kauai. The time went too fast, but I feel confident we'll head back that way before too much time passes as now our baby girl is in love with Hawaii too.

Exploring the lawn between the beach and our condo.

Kissy-kissy on the beach on Maui.

Easing Georgea into the very motion-filled experience of bobbing in the ocean.

Becoming familiar with the sensation of toes in the sand. Lots of great sensory experiences for Georgea on this trip.

"Hello waves & water! I love you!"

The best!!

Hangin' at the pool with her playmate, aka: "Dada."

Sunset stroll.

Sweet snoozing & snuggles. Georgea did very will with maintaining a solid sleep schedule despite the travel & 3 hour time change.

Sunset in Kaanapali.

Meeting a friend from Guangdong province! We had a random encounter while taking a stroll after dinner one evening. We met this beautiful young lady and her adoptive Mom. We stopped, chatted for awhile & let the girls interact. It was really fun to watch Georgea and Danica enjoy each others company.

The view from our lanai was amazing. So peaceful.

22 month olds have special beach privileges.

Goodbye for now beautiful Maui. We're off to Kauai to meet up with our friends Sue, Robert & Alexa.

It was so fun to spend some island time with our good friends from home.

The girls!

Darn that straw, but this photo was too sweet not to include.

Spending some time on the north shore of Kauai at Princeville.

Kee beach, one of our favorites.

Two hula girls in their matching jammies.

This is what Georgea looked like during our entire 2 week vacation. The 3 of us hadn't spent such intense time together (24/7) since we were in China together almost 11 months ago. This vacation was a great time of bonding for us as a family and Georgea really savored it.

Some hugs and assistance from a "big girl!"

Truly an awesome time for us as a family. We can't wait to do it again. Aloha Hawaii!
